LIFE IN QUARANTINE

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Painted from late 2020 to mid 2021, “Life in Quarantine” was a concept Mark W. Cunningham came up with to illustrate the bizarre reality of the Covid-19 Pandemic. A Metaphor for being able to see the world without being able to interact with it. While talking shop about composition and space station design, Mark invited me to collaborate on the project and help bring it to life. While most of the composition is filled with the vast emptiness of space, in the station there are vignettes of everyday life in quarantine. Stores with no toilet paper, empty common areas, individuals passing the time with hobbies, getting swab tested, etc. Located on Foster St. in downtown Durham, NC.
